Job Title: Data Warehouse / Informatica ETL Engineer

Our client is a mid-sized financial services firm committed to delivering exceptional services and innovative solutions. We are currently seeking a skilled Data Warehouse / Informatica ETL Engineer to join their dynamic team and contribute to the design and development of robust ETL processes.

Position Overview: The Data Warehouse / Informatica ETL Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of ETL processes, with a focus on leveraging Informatica PowerCenter tools. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of data warehouse solutions, supporting error handling conditions, and contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our data management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter tools to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Assume a senior role within the team, providing guidance and mentorship to junior members as needed.
• Develop and maintain T-SQL scripts for data manipulation and validation purposes.
• Implement error handling conditions and validations to ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the ETL process.
• Utilize Linux environments for hands-on development and troubleshooting tasks.
• Explore opportunities for automation and optimization of ETL processes, leveraging Ruby scripting experience where applicable.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies related to data warehousing and ETL processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing ETL processes, preferably in a senior capacity within a team.
• Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience developing ETL processes, with a strong focus on Informatica PowerCenter tools.
• Proficiency in T-SQL for data manipulation and querying.
• Experience in designing, building, and supporting ETL error handling conditions and validations.
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux environments.
• Experience with Ruby scripting is a definite plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Financial services related experience preferred.
