Job Description
 
  • Performs work per repair order with efficiency and accuracy to dealership and factory standards
  • Diagnoses problems and perform repairs
  • Communicates well with parts department, shop foreman, service advisor and service manager
  • Understands warranties
  • Documents all work performed and recommended on repair order
  • Road tests vehicles when required
  • Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events
  • Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor
  • Ensures that customers' vehicles are kept clean
  • Notifies Supervisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle
  • Keeps shop area neat and clean
  • Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools, computers, and manuals – (paper and electronic)
  • Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know
  • Uses safe practices
  • Reports any safety issues immediately to management
  • High school diploma or completion of vocational/technical school preferred or relevant experience in medium/heavy diesel maintenance 
  • Class A or B CDL License is preferred

Experience Requirements
  
Applicants must have a clean driving record and must pass a background check, DOT physical, and functional ability test
